With a passion for guiding individuals towards greater mental wellness, I bring a compassionate and evidence-based approach to therapy. Holding a Master's degree in Counseling from McDaniel College, I have extensive experience helping clients, both young and old, navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and relationship issues. I employ a number of therapeutic styles to assist my clients in learning strategies and skills to help them in their daily lives. My focus is specific to each client and includes: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person Centered Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Mindfulness Techniques and Play Therapy. I foster a safe and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their emotions, gain insights, and develop effective coping strategies.
Dedicated to continuous learning and professional growth, I stay current with the latest advancements in mental health treatment to provide the best possible care. Whether you're seeking individual therapy, couples counseling, or family therapy, I am committed to supporting you on your journey towards emotional well-being and personal growth and am available for both in-person and virtual telehealth appointments.
Outside of the clinical world I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, yoga, and reading.

As a graduate student in the Master’s of Clinical Mental Health program at McDaniel College, Joshawyn adopts a person-centered approach that emphasizes the significance of each individual's values, beliefs, and background. She focuses on identifying the inherent strengths of her clients, utilizing these assets to address and resolve their challenges.
Joshawyn strives to foster a non-judgmental and supportive environment where clients feel empowered to express themselves openly. Her commitment lies in meeting clients where they are and guiding them toward achieving their mental health goals. She is enthusiastic about embarking on this new chapter in her educational journey.
Joshawyn works with children ages 5 and up, teens, adults, and couples, and offers both in-person and telehealth sessions.
Outside of her professional pursuits, Joshawyn cherishes quality time with her husband and four children, practices yoga, and enjoys collecting stamps in her passport.
